FEATURES: Built around a rich royal-blue base with a subtle tonal jacquard pattern - this shirt is most recognizable for the dramatic red, white and blue diamond graphic descending vertically from the wearer’s right shoulder and continuing down the side of the torso. This is adidas’ Solitaire template, and the design was used by France during the period leading into Euro 1996. The shoulders feature broad woven adidas striping in the French tricolore: white outer bands surrounding blue and red central stripes. These continue from the collar across the shoulders and along the upper sleeves. The chest carries a white embroidered adidas wordmark alongside the traditional embroidered F.F.F. Gallic rooster crest. This predates the stars subsequently added to France shirts following their World Cup victories.A white #10 is applied centrally beneath the chest badges. The number uses the distinctive period three-dimensional/block adidas typography, with blue negative-space detailing creating a beveled appearance. The reverse is personalized ZIDANE #10 in matching white period-style lettering and numbering. The large squared-off numerals again use the outlined/beveled graphic construction characteristic of the era.
The most noticeable wear is around the internal labeling. The neck-size/adidas label is heavily faded, with much of the original printing now very faint. The Japanese care/product labels also show substantial age and wash wear, with fraying around the edges and loose threads visible around the label attachment. There are several small pulls/bobbles and tiny light-colored specks visible on the blue fabric, particularly around the upper rear area adjacent to the nameset. The close-up beside the lettering shows a few small white/grey surface marks and minor fiber disturbance. The white polo collar shows light age-related discoloration/toning rather than remaining a brilliant factory white. There is also normal light wear around the button/placket area.
